New Richmond, Jan 8 – Mrs. Mary Jane (Smith) Jones 98 died at 2 a.m. Saturday in a nursing home at Columbia City where she had been a patient for a few months. Born in NC she was married to Wiliam T. Jones. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Jones spent most of her life here. She was a member of the New Richmond Methodist Church and OES 377. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Mayme Jones, Indianapolis; five sons, Otto, New Richmond, Henry, Elmdale; Philip, Lafayette; Robert, Frankfort and Edward, Ft. Wayne.

Jones, Mrs. Mary Jane – Body will arrive from Columbia City Monday and taken to the Methodist Church, New Richmond, where it will lie in state one hour before funeral services at 1 p.m., Rev. Arthur Schenck, officiating. Burial in New Richmond Cemetery.
